Subconjunctival hemorrhage is a condition that small blood vessels below conjunctiva breaks and bleeds. Patients often do not have any symptoms. It is not painful or itching. Eyesight is not affected either. And it is not contagious. The only thing they find is that part or all the white part of an eye is now fresh red. However, if the bleeding amount is huge so that the whole white part is covered by blood, you may still feel swelling and discomfort. Subconjunctival hemorrhage does not need any treatment.
